Research Interests:
Combined Formulation and Process Design for Protein Pharmaceuticals: Combined Aspects. Research includes new insights into:
- Use of surfactants and their impact on process optimization,
- Partially crystalline formulation systems and subsequent requirements for the cycle (freezing and primary drying step),
- Impact of freezing regime (incl. annealing) on protein stability.
This work focuses on lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) as a model protein for pharmaceutical freeze-drying.
