Research Interests:

Evaluation of vial heat transfer coefficients (Kv) for new and innovative vial systems (tubing and molded), including methodology of determination. Research includes specifically:

  • evaluation of the EasyLyo (SGD) new molded vial system (container design, Kv)
  • evaluation of the TopLyo (SCHOTT Forma Vitrum) new tubing vial system (container design, Kv). In addition, SCHOTT TopPack (polymer) vials are included in this study
  • influence of vial type on process design and optimization when freeze drying small molecule drugs
